CCI fines Google 936 crore for monopoly abuse
In its latest order, Competition Commission of India (CCI) asked Google to "cease and desist" from practicing policies that supposedly give it powers to abuse its dominant position in running Play Store, which houses millions of apps that Android phone customers can download. "... practices followed by Google result in leveraging its dominance in market for licensable mobile OS (operating system) and app stores for Android OS, to protect its position in the downstream markets," CCI said.

Mumbai records 32 new COVID-19 cases, zero death
Rishi Sunak appoints backers of leadership rivals in Cabinet
Many of the faces he appointed were well-known MPs who had previously held Cabinet posts — an indication that he wants to have people with experience at the helm to steady the ship during turbulent times in the UK, unlike his predecessors who appointed loyalists regardless of competence. There is speculation Sunak has done this to ensure that he does not inadvertently create a group of disgruntled rebel MPs denied cabinet posts who subsequently plot to oust him, as has happened in the past.
