India may add 35,000 troops along China border as tensions simmer, changing the status quo forever

Twenty Indian soldiers and unknown number of Chinese troops were killed in an ugly skirmish on June 15 and since then, both sides have rushed soldiers, artillery and tanks to the region. With border agreements not holding, the situation requires additional troops, and the nature of the LAC, at least in Ladakh, has changed forever, says an expert.
