China, Ukraine and New Zealand back India and South Africa's IPR waiver joint proposal on Covid medical products

Their support comes after the US agreed for text-based negotiations and joined the co-proponents of the initiative to waive certain provisions of the Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) Agreement for “prevention, containment or treatment” of Covid-19.
