India's vaccination drive picks up pace in June, but still isn't fast enough

Average daily vaccinations so far in June have crossed 3 million, marginally higher than April and well above May. But it’s far below what’s needed and a significant divide exists in terms of gender, rural-urban areas and states apart from supply of the two vaccines. Vaccine hesitancy remains a concern and could become a major challenge as the second wave recedes.
