Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday instructed officials to work closely with the states and ensure that 1,500 pressure swing adsorption (PSA) oxygen generators are made functional across the country at the earliest. Since the Coronavirus outbreak, the Centre has been seeking to beef up the oxygen infrastructure. It had ordered the installation of PSA plants through the PM Cares Fund last year with the numbers significantly being scaled up this year
