Enhanced jurisdiction to strengthen hands of state police: BSF

Sanjay Singh Gehlot, Inspector General of BSF, Guwahati Frontier said that BSF is the first line of Defense and mandated to secure the international border with Bangladesh. BSF always functions in close coordination with various security agencies including State Police to prevent illegal infiltration, various trans-border crimes and to develop a sense of security amongst the border population.
