Food Security Scheme extended till March

Supply of grains under Phase V of the food security scheme would entail an estimated subsidy of ₹53,344.52 crore, the Department of Food and Public Distribution said. The total supply of food grains in Phase V, which will begin December 1, is expected to be 16.3 million tonnes.
