UP Assembly polls: Locals connect with Mulayam, but BJP ensures it's no cakewalk for Akhilesh Yadav

The BJP has fielded Vivek Shakya, eyeing the 45,000 Shakya voters in the constituency. The BSP has fielded VP Singh. Karhal has about 150,000 Yadav voters and 77,000 Dalit voters. There are 42,ooo general category voters, apart from 15,000 Muslims. In both these seats, the Congress has not fielded a candidate. Karhal and Jaswantnagar will go to the polls in the third phase of the election on February 20.
