After Chief Justice U U Lalit took charge and introduced a new system for listing of cases, the Supreme Court witnessed record performance in terms of deciding cases and in the last 13 working days, 5,200 cases were disposed of in comparison to 1,135 fresh cases being filed in the apex court that means that pendency had reduced by over 4,000 during this short span of time.
