Despite adapting to societal changes, major oil companies like Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Shell, and BP have yet to appoint a female CEO. This could change with BP, as it recently parted ways with its CEO Bernard Looney. However, appointing a female CEO would challenge over a century of precedent in the male-dominated industry.
