Migrants who stayed back reset lives, brick by brick

While lakhs of itinerant workers left Delhi for their home villages in other states, a handful lingered on, hoping things would get better. Some, of course, had no means of going back, but there were others who did not face privation during the lockdown because their generous employers paid them in full.
