SC permits notices, summons using instant messaging tools

A bench led by Chief Justice of India SA Bobde allowed the use of instant messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, apart from email and fax. In doing so, the bench shrugged off opposition from Attorney General KK Venugopal on use of Whatsapp over security concerns.
