Shiromani Akali Dal’s Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal, who resigned on Thursday from the Union cabinet as food processing minister, said on Friday that she took the decision only after she and representatives from the centre “failed to convince stakeholders, including farmers and middlemen, that their fears were unfounded on the three farmer bills”.
