Uttarakhand assembly polls: BJP names 59 of 70 candidates, denies ticket to 10 MLAs

The BJP has also given tickets to almost all the "Congress rebels" who had joined the party after revolting against then Harish Rawat government in 2016. While agriculture minister Subodh Uniyal will contest as the BJP nominee from his Narendra Nagar seat, the party has given ticket to Kunwarani Devyani in place of her husband Kunwar Pravan Singh Champion for Khanpur seat. Both Uniyal and Pranav Champion were among the "Congress rebels".
