An expert panel, which is due to submit its report and the draft Bill to the state government, is learnt to have reworked its earlier proposals, dropping significant recommendations on ensuring maintenance for senior citizens, ending of coparcener rights for Hindu male heirs and accommodating same-sex unions through a gender-neutral vocabulary.
