Bombay HC dismisses Singhania’s plea to change the ‘colonial’ aviation country code

Singhania, along with a Pune businessman, had approached the court to argue that India’s current country code is ‘VT’, which stands for ‘Victorian’ or ‘Viceroy Territory’. The petition asked the court to direct the government to make an effort to get it changed to the word ‘MG’ (for Mahatma Gandhi) or ‘BH’ (for Bharat).
