The Centre on Wednesday approved India's ratification of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol on phasing down climate-damaging refrigerant Hydroflurocarbons (HFCs). The Amendment to gradually reduce use of HFCs by the late 2040s was adopted by 197 countries in Rwanda in October 2016.
