India's unemployment rate drops to 13.3% in Q2 from all-time high of 20.9% in Q1

The unemployment rate had stood at 8.4% in the corresponding quarter a year-ago period, shows the quarterly data from a periodic labour force survey by the National Statistical Office (NSO). Joblessness or unemployment rate (UR) is defined as the percentage of unemployed persons in the labour force.
