Notices on plea challenging Manipur's ILP

The SC on Monday agreed to examine the legality of the colonial-era Inner Line Permit (ILP) system in Manipur and issued notices to the central and state governments. A petition filed in the court has alleged that the ILP was put in place by the imperial rulers to protect their interests.
