The Delhi High Court has adjourned the defamation suit filed by TMC leader Mahua Moitra against BJP MP Nishikant Dubey and lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai. Dehadrai alleged in court that Moitra's lawyer contacted him to withdraw the complaint made to the CBI against Moitra, offering custody of his pet dog in exchange. The court expressed dismay at the TMC lawyer's actions and questioned whether he could continue representing Moitra. Moitra had filed the suit against Dubey, Dehadrai, and media platforms for allegedly defamatory allegations relating to her questioning of the Adani Group.
