Panel suggests replacing 'India' with 'Bharat' in NCERT textbooks

A NCERT committee for curriculum development in India has recommended replacing the term 'India' with 'Bharat' in school textbooks. The committee also suggested highlighting the victories of Hindu kings and representing the history since Independence more accurately. The recommendations are pending approval from the education ministry.
