The Madhya Pradesh government now has 12 OBC leaders including the chief minister, six SC leaders including deputy chief minister Jagdish Devda, three ST leaders, and ten ministers from upper castes including deputy chief minister Rajendra Shukla. There are only five female ministers in the new BJP government, which is less than one-sixth of the cabinet's total strength.
