The National Stock Exchange has raised the Investor Protection Fund Trust compensation limit to Rs 35 lakh, up from Rs 25 lakh. The new limit applies to claims against trading members declared defaulter or expelled. The fund was established to compensate investors in such events and to promote investor education and awareness.
