The Centre has updated the rules for disposing of enemy properties from the 1962 and 1965 wars. Occupants now get the first right to buy properties below ₹1 crore in rural areas and below ₹5 crore in urban areas. Unpurchased properties will then be disposed of by the Custodian with the Centre's approval.
