The Karnataka cabinet has taken the controversial socio-economic survey, also known as the caste census report, on record and scheduled a meeting on April 17 to discuss its implications. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has directed ministers to review the report, amidst resistance from Lingayat and Vokkaliga communities fearing a shift in political power.
