The three military chiefs are slated to separately meet PM Narendra Modi on Tuesday to brief him about the implementation of the Agnipath scheme, which is being fast-tracked with the Army on Monday issuing the recruitment notification for it amid continuing protests across the country. Under Agnipath, 46,000 Agniveers (40,000 for Army and 3,000 each for IAF & Navy) will be recruited this year.
