The government on Tuesday announced to recruit 10 lakh people in different Central government departments and ministries in the next 18 months on a “mission mode”, a deadline that ends barely 4-5 months before the Narendra Modi government again seeks mandate from people to come to power. Sources said a good chunk of the vacancies are in railways.
