The Election Commission on Monday asked Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to “clarify and rectify” the party’s social media post based on Sonia Gandhi’s purported remark on the “sovereignty” of Karnataka. The EC’s letter to Kharge followed a complaint by BJP regarding a tweet which appeared on the official Twitter handle of the Congress on May 6.
