Andhra post-poll violence: EC directs MHA to retain 25 companies of central forces post counting

The Election Commission directed the Union home ministry to retain 25 companies of central forces in Andhra Pradesh after post-poll violence incidents. The EC conveyed its displeasure at Nirvanchan Sadan and summoned state officials for explanations. Chief secretary, DGP, and SPs were tasked to take pre-emptive measures.
