India's smallest constituency by area, Chandni Chowk is witnessing a keenly contested election. BJP has dropped its sitting two-term MP Harsh Vardhan and given Khandelwal an opportunity to contest his first Lok Sabha election. Khandelwal is pitted against 79-year-old JP Agarwal, who is fighting his 10th Lok Sabha election and has represented Chandni Chowk in 1984, 1989 and 1996. The trading community holds the key to the constituency. Contrary to popular perception, Chandni Chowk traders are not voters of the constituency.
