At an official briefing, spokespersons Jairam Ramesh and Supriya Shrinate detailed the instances of "trolling and propaganda" by the BJP. Shrinate then hit out at Parliamentary affairs minister Pralhad Joshi, saying "a BJP leader had said Rahul Gandhi would travel abroad for a Christmas break.
