In its year-end review for 2022, the textiles ministry said a quality control order for viscose staple fibre is under issuance. "A total of ₹621.41 crore subsidy was released in 3,159 cases under Amended Technology Upgradation Fund Scheme and special campaigns organised at major clusters for settling backlog cases," the ministry said, adding that an investment of ₹10,218 crore was confirmed by the industry in 2,443 subsidy cases.
