It’s been almost 10 days since Amangattuchalil Kannan began his pilgrimage from Malappuram to Sabarimala, and he’s determined to do it the hard way — all 300km in a wheelchair. Kannan lost his left leg in an accident several years ago and his other leg is partially paralysed. The motive of his pilgrimage is to seek Lord Ayyappa’s blessings for the Muslim teacher who helped him get a roof over his head when he had almost given up on his future.
