The court of additional civil judge (senior division-III) Sonika Verma in Mathura has sought a "survey report" of the Shahi Idgah mosque complex by a revenue department official by January 20. Verma ordered this while hearing a petition filed by Vishnu Gupta of Hindu Sena, a right-wing outfit. Though the directions went out on December 8, it was only on Saturday that it became publicly known, on the day the court closed for winter break.
