Power Ministry official cautions against free power weeks after Congress promises it in Karnataka

Alok Kumar, the Secretary at the Ministry of Power, who was in Bengaluru and briefed media about the G20 energy transition working group meeting to be held in the city next month, suggested policy makers adopt a cautious approach on free electricity supply policies in view of the negative impact they could make.
