Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to flag off the first Vande Bharat train with eight coaches on April 8. The Chennai-Coimbatore train will have one executive coach and would accommodate 530 passengers. All other Vande Bharat trains have 16 coaches.Sources said the railways will manufacture 64 such trains with eight-coach configuration, which will help the national transporter to expedite the roll out of trains.
